I am and I'm not. I'm experiencing a certain letdown with the whole protecting the light thing. After everything, it seems anticlimactic. But the presence of the sideways universe rescues it for me. I can't imagine what the concert could be about. and i can't wait to see who Jack's ex is (maybe it's Sarah though, could it be. Instead of someone else's baby it could've been jack's).
Wouldn't it be awesome if the concert was Driveshaft and Charlie was there? Highly unlikely though, because wasn't Miles putting on a tie before heading to the concert? Do you think Juliet could be the ex? If Charlie got time away from his show, couldn't Juliet?
By the way, I hope that wasn't the end of our favorite mascara-wearing friend, Richard, last night. He's been so important on the island, and I hope his final death won't be so boring. Will he show up in the finale and start guiding Jack in his new role?
It went by fast, the episode. Not a whole lot happened. I was sort of disappointed, yes. But not entirely.
The concert is undoubtedly Jack's son's.
The light seems sort of a let down but I think the series finale is going to make it shine!
I will tell you that I was very happy when Jack took the job like immediately. He didn't even think about it. He just knows that this is what he's supposed to do. Good job, wiener head. And the fact that no one tried to stop him (even Kate) was because they believe it, too. It's like when Keanu Reeves finally realizes that he is the chosen one. And I don't mean in the Matrix.
I agree, Juliet was too much of a major character to not have some big role like being Jack's wife. Also nice to see Michelle Rodriguez stay sober for a few hours to make a cameo.
I think Ben is going to kill Locke so he can be the new MIB...because there can't be good without evil, right? And Desmond is the new Richard. And probably I will be wrong on all accounts, because ya never know with this show.
Wait, I think the concert is going to be the thing Eloise was setting up for Penny, in that episode where Desmond remembered everything after talking to Daniel! Am I right? Is that where everyone is going? That would explain the tie. And I think that means Charlie will be there! Oh Charlie ...
I also liked that Jack took the job immediately. He was definitely up to the challenge and he knew the island wasn't done with him just yet. Plus, Jacob never had the choice of inheriting the island. Jack made the conscious decision to take the reins. Also, Jacob/Jack. Do you think the MIB's real name is some version of John? Or maybe it is John, because you can't get older than John, right? Hmmm ...
I'll tell you what, I will not be happy if they waste too much time with a sappy Desmond-Penny reunion of the souls. This is because I HATE Penny and her annoying "Dez!" But did you notice that Chopin's Fantasie Impromptu was being played while they were setting up for the concert? The Fantasie Impromptu is what Jack's son played at his own concert. I'm betting it was him practicing off camera. And I really think that Drive Shaft will make an appearance--sort of has to be this way.

wouldn't weinerhead be one word? is that in the WR stylebook?
ReplyDeleteAnd no Richard can't die because I would be way too upset!
I think Juliet could be the Ex--oh love it!! Maybe they'll also allude to the idea that Jack and her will get back together. I'd like it.
